*      Silvana: Hello!! Good morning dear viewers and audience, welcome to my tv show TRAVELIND AROUND COLOMBIA!

Today we will have very special guests who will come to talk us about the beautiful Orinoco, Andean and Amazon region!

With us David, He comes from Villavicencio; he comes to talk us about the Orinoco, also Luisa! She Comes directly from Leticia and she about the Amazon region and Carlos from Manizales about the Andean region.

Well let´s begin!

*      Silvana: 1) what does special characteristics have your the region?
David: in Orinoco, you may to know a particular subculture that have the Colombian cowboy, there are may enjoy of music and its foods and also, you may rest in with its beautiful plains.
Luisa: The Amazon territory is flat and jungle, its climate is tropical and humid, with greatand mighty rivers suitable for navigation and numerous natural species both animal and vegetable. Its inhabitants are mostly indians. The departments that make up this region are Caquetá, Guainia, Vaupés, Guaviare, Amazon and Putumayo.
Carlos: The region Andean Colombian is comprised of the departments: Caldas, Risaralda. Quindío and Antioquia. The Andean region is characterized by being surrounded by mountains, with many beautiful landscapes. Its climate is temperate and cold
*      Silvana: .2) what is the food more representative? (SM)
David:  the food more representative is the mamona that is veal llanera, the veal is a little cow. Also there are you may drink Atol and Guarulo, also there are cachama roasted and sancocho that is called hervivioro.
Luisa: The stew with fish and fruits like white pineapple, the badea, cherry.2. The chicken stew and beef stew 3. Fish, supplementes with cassava, banana and exotic fruits
Carlos:   In this region is usually eat.
Coffee and its derivatives, tamales, corn bread, beans, heated corn porridge with brown sugar, the sugar water with cheese, corn bread with cheese, donuts with custard, the corn bread choclo, and the famous BANDEJA PAISA with (rice, fried plantains , avocado, egg, sausage, ground beef and pork rinds).
*      Silvana:  3) What do places there for to the tourists? (SM)
David:  the Orinoco is subdivided into five natural regions that area.
Piedemonte llanero, plain of meta, plain of Guaviare, marshes of Arauca, serrania of Macarena.
May be found at these sites, lakes, rivers crystalline, mountain and lasdscapes are excellent.
Luisa: The Amazon region is ideal for ecoturism, has nine nature park (LM) Nukak, Puinawai, Tuparre, Tinigua, Amacayacu, rio puré, Cahuinarí, La paya and Yaigojé. This is a place for pleasure. Lovers of adventure has diferrent activities to do like climbing trees, walking in the fores, practice canopy, navigable the Amazon river and enjoy the wildlife. There are many animals. Diferrent kinds of snakes, frogs, spiders, monkeys, birdsand, jaguars and pink dolphins.
Carlos: In the coffee region, we can go to:
Ø  SALENTO - Colombia craft village
Ø  THERMAL - "Natural Spa for different activities for relaxation and pampering.
Ø  COCORA VALLEY. - Right place for fishing and natural baths.
Ø  THE RUIZ NEVADO- is one of the volcanoes of the Andes mountain range. Is a very good experience to visit.
Ø   NATIONAL COFFEE PARK. - It is located in the Town of Black Mountain; in this park we can see all the wonders of coffee.
Ø  PANACA. -in this park in the coffee can interact with the beauty of the countryside.

In the department of Antioquia can go to:
Ø  SANTA FE DE ANTIOQUIA. Colonial is a jewel of Antioquia, is famous for its cobblestone streets and its warm climate.
Ø  GUATAPE. This site is very famous for the museum Peñol
Ø  SANTA ELENA-is characterized by beautiful landscapes and flower crops.
Ø  MEDELLIN. City of eternal spring, we can find, the botanical garden, the wishes park , the barefoot park, park explore, Antioquia museum,  the lights park. Also has transports system such as metro and cable cars
The Andean region is a region that can  not be missed.
*      Silvana:  4) What is de cultural festival of your region?
David:
in January the water festival
in march, the festival of san isidro
may the festival of the cachama
cattle fair in July
horse fair in august
in octuber the festival return
bullfighting festival in December

Luisa: Carnivals and festivals in the Amazon region are:  
·         Folk music festival Amazonian the golden Pirarucú, celebrated November 28
·         Carnival of Mocoa, celebrated on December
·         Settler gold Festival, held in a diferrent city every December in Amazon, Caquetá or Putumayo
·         Folk Festival San Pedro in Caquetá, celebrated on July between 26 and 29

Carlos:  in this region are held several festivals such as:

Ø  The Carnival of the devil, in Rio sucio Caldas, is celebrated in the month of January.
Ø  Manizales Fair, which is celebrated in the month of January in the Manizales  City
Ø  The Flower Fair, celebrated in the Medellin city in the August.

*      Silvana : 5) What is the economic activities of your region?

David: in the Orinoco region, the most important economic activity is livestock
Luisa: Items made in this region are handicrafts, mabe by native with designs that satand out for seeds, bark tree, feathers, hemp, scales of Pirarucú and other items of the jungle
Carlos: The Andean region has rich earth where they grow variety of products such as coffee, sugar cane, corn, wheat, fruits, flowers, also engaged in cattle and mining
*      Silvana: 6) What kind of music is typical of your region?
David: in Orinoco, the music is the joropo, which is enlivened by two instruments, a small guitar called caurto and the harp
Luisa: The music of the Amazon region is closer to the neighboring countries or Perú and Brazil stans out rhythms as Carimbó, Samba, Tangarana, Andean Cumbia called Chibcha and Andean Merengue.
Carlos: the tipical music of the  Andean Region  is Bambuco, Torbellino, Guabina, Pasillo, Bunde, Sanjuanero, Danza, tangos, boleros and mariachis

*      Silvana: 7) There are places to stay?
David:  the Orinoco is becoming a very important tourist destination, and for this reason, all plain is full of farms and ranches, where touristic can live as true llanero.
Luisa: in the Amazon region has a variety of place to stay and enjoy the scenery
Carlos: Throughout the Andean region can find a variety of hotels at very good prices and good service
*      Silvana: 8) What kind of transport there are for this region?
David:  we can ride in the Orinoco by plane, jeep, ATV or horseback. The Orinoco has areas of difficult access for heavy vehicles that need
Luisa: The cities of Mocoa, San José del Guaviare and Florence are connected by land with the rest of the country. For other places the transporter is air or for the river.
Carlos: this area of ​​the country can be reached by air and land. Good roads and airports posse. In Medellin, we find the metro, metro plus, and the cable car

The Caribbean region


                                          The Caribbean region




In the Caribbean region the climate is warm, dry and desert zones  with spectacular scenarios like the Guajira and humid areas like the Golf of Uraba, near the border with Panama.

Within the Region are some indigenous tribes such as the Ahuacos and Koguis in the Sierra Nevada, the Wayúus in the Guajira, there are also regions with high prevalence of black African people as San Basilio de Palenque and Cartagena.

The people in this region are characterized for be spontaneous, happy, music and dance lovers. The best-known musical rhythms are Cumbia, the Mapale, the Porro, vallenato and Merecumbe.






















In the vastness of its coastline in the Caribbean Region is possible to find a great variety of beaches to suit the tastes of lovers of sun and sea, among which include the Islas del Rosario and San Bernardo in Cartagena; Tayrona park and Rodadero beaches in Santa Marta, Cabo de la vela in the Guajira, Tolu and Coveñas in Sucre, San Andres and Providencia islands in the Caribbean Sea, each one of them with different characteristic that makes it unique.

The Eastern Plains


the eastern plains, Also called Colombian Orinoco is determined by the Orinoco River basin; Meta (Villavicencio), Arauca (Arauca), Casanare (Yopal) and Vichada (Puero Carreño) are its departments.it is subdivided into five natural regions that are Piedemonte Llanero, Lanura del meta, Llanura del Guaviare, Pantanos del arauca and Senaria of macarena.

Cowboy Colombian

Good morning, greets them the presenter Silvana Martínez and give them welcome a the program "Traveling by Colombia". In this ocasion  our guests are Luisa Madrid talking about of Amazon Region, David Ruíz talking about Orinoco Region and  Carlos Tapias talking about Andina Region.

Introduction: Colombia as a tourism destination (SM):


Colombia is acountry marked by diversidad, has beaches, forest and event deserts. Its multiple destinations allow yuo to enjoy beach and sun, nature, extreme sports and culture.


Good care is characteristic af this land, which allows tourists to feel well cared and enjoy the full measure of our country.

By characteristics such as culture, topography and climate, Colombia is Agrouped in five regions, The Amazon, The Andes, The Caribbean, The Orinoco and The Pacifica.

EJE CAFETERO


EJE CAFETERO

The Colombian coffee is comprised of three departments: Caldas, Risaralda and Quindío, so called because of the large development of coffee cultivation. After a strong earthquake, the department was strengthened in tourism, making daily activities of the field into a tourist attraction. If you want an experiential tourism be sure to visit the coffee.

The tourist sites are representative of the Colombian are:

Salento.

Colombia's craft village named cultural landscape the same coffee. It is located in the northeastern department of Quindío heart of the coffee-Colombian, has an area of 375.63 square kilometers and a population of 8,903 inhabitants.
Termales.
"Natural Spa" Spa in Hot Springs for different activities for relaxation and body care. The thermal waters of Manila are among the healthiest in the world and are now in the eyes of all lovers of beauty and body care.
Valle de Cócora.
It is located between the mountains of the Cordillera Central. A road can traverse up to a point where there are restaurants that offer delicious trout fished in the area. El Nevado del Ruiz

It is a volcano composed of many layers of lava alternating with hardened volcanic ash and other pyroclasts. He has been active for about two million years, from the early Pleistocene or late Pliocene, with three major eruptive periods.
Parque Del café.
The National Coffee Park is a theme park located in the Colombian municipality of Montenegro in Quindío, Colombia. It has a cable car, an attraction of orchids tronic encourages full of color, the world's coffee garden, a roller coaster, food stalls based on coffee, Colombian folk architecture, and other attractions.
Panaca.
The National Park of Culture Coffee PANACA Agricultural, Agricultural Theme Park is a large format full of fun and interaction with the field, where you can find spectacular displays, amazing theme stations and the collection of domestic zoology world's largest which can interact and live days full of nature and emotion.
